THE ORIGIN
I Was That Girl.
At 17, I was raising daughters while the world was deciding I wouldn't amount to much.
No one handed me a roadmap for emotional resilience, strategic decision-making, or how to lead under pressure. I learned those things through survival — through single motherhood, through corporate boardrooms where I was often the only Black woman in the room, through two decades of managing $100M+ programs while building myself from scratch.
I became a first-generation degree holder. A Certified Scrum Master. A Fortune 100 portfolio manager.
But I never stopped thinking about the girl I was at 17 — and all the girls just like her who are out here navigating life without the tools they deserve.
