A Mother’s Mission Becomes a Movement: Carlaura Flie-Jordan is a powerful force for transformation—an author, speaker, mental health coach, and founder of Dream Big Inspire Big Foundation. She is also the host of the heartfelt podcast Broken Blessings, streaming on Apple & Spotify, where she shares the beauty that rises from life’s hardest battles.
Carlaura is a devoted mother of two, and it was her sons—especially her youngest, Jacob, diagnosed with autism in 2021—who ignited her deeper calling to advocate, educate, and uplift.
This year, Carlaura is being honored with the Courage Award at the 2025 JoyTutor Celebrations of Courage Awards for her fearless advocacy, emotional resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others turn pain into power.

Speaking Life in Every Season
With a bachelor’s in social work and a master’s in human services, Carlaura has always known the power of words. Her foundational belief is simple yet radical: what we speak can either build us or break us. That belief has guided her life’s work, especially in the face of her son’s autism diagnosis. She turned grief into grit—and fear into fierce advocacy.
Through speaking engagements, life coaching, and community outreach, Carlaura helps others reclaim their voice, trust their instincts, and advocate for themselves and their children with boldness.
Dream Big, Inspire Bigger
Her foundation, Dream Big Inspire Big, is an extension of Carlaura’s soul work. It was born from the quiet strength of motherhood and the loud call to action that comes with advocacy. Through this platform, she supports parents—especially mothers—navigating the world of special needs, while also reminding women that they are more than their pain, more than their roles, and more than what others say they couldn’t do.
She has become a lighthouse for families seeking guidance, hope, and early intervention awareness in underrepresented communities.
Courageously Creating a Culture of Healing
Whether it’s on her podcast, in front of an audience, or through one-on-one coaching, Carlaura is creating spaces where healing is honest, advocacy is accessible, and empowerment is non-negotiable. Her courage lies not only in what she’s overcome, but in how she’s helping others rise.
At this year’s JoyTutor Celebrations of Courage Awards, we are proud to honor Carlaura Flie-Jordan for her unstoppable spirit and the legacy she’s building in the hearts of her sons—and the world.
