To ensure your legacy is captured with forensic clarity, please review and implement the following environmental protocols before our session.
01. ACOUSTIC GOVERNANCE
Hardware Requirements: If available, please utilize a dedicated podcasting microphone. Alternatively, use a set of wired earbuds with an integrated mic. Avoid using your computer's native microphone, as it lacks the fidelity required for our archive.
Environment Audit: Select a quiet, confined space. Avoid conference rooms or areas with high, flat surfaces that generate echo. A smaller room with soft furnishings (couches, rugs, or curtains) is ideal for absorbing reverb.
02. SIGNAL INTEGRITY
Mobile Neutralization: Set your mobile device to "Do Not Disturb" or deactivate it completely. This prevents audible interference from texts and calls during the recording.
Digital Silence: Disable all notifications on your computer and tablet. Background "pings" compromise the audio edit and distract from the discussion.
Kinetic Restraint: Please refrain from tapping on your desk, keyboard, or hard surfaces. These thumping sounds interfere with your statements and create a distracting experience for the listener.
03. PHYSICAL READINESS
Power Assurance: Ensure your primary recording device is connected to a dedicated power source. A low charge can lead to a disruptive power-down mid-session.
Personal Sustenance: For your comfort, please have water nearby for easy access during the interview. We also recommend a brief personal break (to use the restroom) immediately before we begin to prevent session interruptions.
